Another early morning! Started out at 5:30 and headed on foot past Kensington Gardens and the Palace and Hyde Park. Arrived on the mall about 6:45 after being routed around by foot traffic patrols. Once we arrived it would be a mere 5+ hours before the procession would pass. We spent the time talking with people in the crowd, napping on the lawn for a bit and waiting in the coffee line. It was amazingly long. Here are a few shots from the day. Last one is a picture of the Queen’s casket with the crown atop.Â
