Musee du Costume

Part of the alternative plan on Wednesday was this amazing Costume Museum. It is owned by two women in I would say their 80s. Their mother is still alive at 112!

They started the museum in 1991 after collecting at auctions and estate sales.

Here are some shots from the outside.

The building was originally a hunting lodge in the 17th century and was enlarged multiple times after that.

From 1860-1970 it was a school for boys. Below are some of the amazing treasures these two women have collected over the years.

A whole case full of tiny little miniatures.

Every room was JAMMED with all kinds of amazing items of history. And we only saw have of their collection.

Several rooms dedicated to religious artifacts.
